Wendy’s offers a variety of sauces that you can pair with their menu items. Whether you want to dip your chicken nuggets and fries or even add them on top of your burger or sandwich, these sauces will definitely enhance the flavor of your meal. From honey mustard to sweet & sour to spicy ghost pepper ranch, here are all of Wendy’s sauces ranked from worst to best.

5. Buttermilk Ranch Sauce

Ranch is one of those flavors that goes well with pretty much anything. Wendy’s buttermilk ranch sauce is good overall, but it’s a bit runny and bland for me, so I ranked it at the bottom of my list. You get that initial punch of onion and herbal flavors, which are quickly replaced with that bland taste. I also think it could use a bit of a thicker consistency. But if you’re a die-hard ranch fan, give it a try – it’s not the worst ranch sauce out there.

4. Honey Mustard Sauce

The sweet and tangy flavors of honey mustard pair well with chicken nuggets and fries, and I enjoyed Wendy’s version of this sauce. They also use Dijon mustard, which is a plus in my book. If there’s anything I’d change, it would be the sweet-to-tangy ratio. The tangy flavor from the vinegar is a bit too forward for my liking, but overall, it’s a tasty dipping sauce.

3. Sweet & Sour Sauce

This Wendy’s sauce shouldn’t be overlooked, especially if you enjoy contrasting flavors. This dipping sauce has a jelly-like consistency and perfectly balances the sweet and sour flavors. I also like the tanginess that comes from the pineapple juice concentrate here.

2. BBQ Sauce

Barbecue sauce can come in various degrees of sweet, tangy, and smoky flavors, and I really love Wendy’s version. In fact, it’s one of the best fast-food BBQ sauces, in my opinion. They changed their recipe a few years ago, and the newer version is less spicy and a bit sweeter than the original, which makes it suitable for most palates.

1. Ghost Pepper Ranch Sauce

The ghost pepper ranch is by far my favorite sauce at Wendy’s. It starts with the buttermilk ranch sauce base, but the additional ingredients bring in all the flavors. Of course, it includes ghost peppers, which are one of the spiciest on the Scoville scale, but the sauce has just the right amount of heat that’s not overpowering since it’s cooled down by ranch. If you enjoy spicy flavors, this dipping sauce will be right up your alley.
