How Does Stop and Shop Delivery Work?

Stop and Shop delivery can be ordered from their app or the website. You’ll place the order online, then the in-store shoppers select the best quality items and package them up for delivery. You’ll need to pick a delivery address and time, and your groceries will be delivered straight to your door.

The minimum order size for a Stop and Shop delivery is $60. In addition to your order total, you will be charged a delivery fee that changes with the size of your order.

When placing an order, you can indicate whether you want to be home when the order is delivered. Select “Attended Delivery” at checkout if you will be at home to accept your order.

You can also select “Unattended Delivery’” if you will not be home, and the delivery driver will leave your groceries in temperature-controlled bins right at your front door.

If you select Attended Delivery, make sure you are home to receive the order, or you will be charged an additional $15 re-delivery fee.

If you want to change your delivery order after you’ve checked out, you’ll need to contact the store you ordered from or call Stop and Shop Delivery Customer Service at 1-800-767-7772.

If you need to cancel your Stop and Shop delivery order, you may do so only if you still see the items in your cart.

First, log into your account to view your shopping cart. Once you log in, you will see an option to cancel the order after selecting the “Cart” button.

Occasionally, you may receive an item that is unacceptable. If you would like a refund for any item, contact Stop and Shop Delivery Customer Service at 1-800-767-7772.

You have to contact Stop and Shop customer service before the item expires or within seven days of the delivery, whichever comes first.

How to Order Stop and Shop Online

You can order Stop and Shop online through their app or the website. You must have a Stop and Shop card to place an order for delivery. Both the Stop and Shop app and the website allow you to schedule the delivery, and they have digital coupons you can clip and apply to your order.

Let’s take you through the steps for ordering Stop and Shop delivery:

1. First, sign up for an account with Stop and Shop. On the app, you will navigate to the bottom right tab that says ‘More’ to set up an account. You will then be prompted to link an existing card to the account, or you can register for a new one.

2. Return to the main screen of the app to shop. On the top right of the screen, you will see “Delivery.” Select this to enter your zip code, and then you are ready to shop.

3. Find all your groceries by searching for each item. If you aren’t sure what you want, you can also select ‘Browse Aisles’ to see what is available at your local Stop and Shop. Use filters to browse by specific categories.

4. Add any items you want to your cart. Some items have an option for substitutions if the in-store shopper cannot find the item you ordered. If you don’t want the substitution, simply deselect this option. When you are done shopping, go to your cart to review the order.

5. Click “Checkout.” You will then be prompted to select a delivery time. Note that if you select “Attended Delivery,” you will need to be home within the time window to receive the order.

Peapod at Stop and Shop

Peapod is used to be responsible for Stop and Shop deliveries. However, Stop and Shop no longer uses Peapod for grocery deliveries. Instead, pickup and delivery orders are placed directly through the Stop and Shop app or the website. Users will need to merge their Peapod and Stop and Shop accounts.

If you previously used Peapod and have an account, you can still use this with Stop and Shop to earn rewards.

Simply sign into the Stop and Shop website using your sign-in info from your Peapod account. Then, you will add your Stop and Shop rewards card to combine the two accounts.

How Much Does Stop and Shop Delivery Cost?

Stop and Shop delivery costs either $6.95 or $9.95. For orders that cost $60-$100, the delivery fee is $9.95. For orders over $100, the delivery fee is reduced to $6.95. You may also purchase a GO Pass Subscription, which has a monthly cost but gives you free delivery services on all orders over $100.

The GO Pass subscription is available for all residential customers living near a Stop and Shop.

The monthly subscription cost is $12.95, but you can save a few extra dollars by purchasing the annual subscription for $119.

Since there is a minimum order size and an additional delivery fee, it is best to use Stop and Shop delivery for your big grocery shopping trips.

Whether you are shopping for the family or stocking up just for yourself, try to shop in bulk to maximize the value of the delivery.

Does Stop and Shop Use Instacart?

Stop and Shop uses Instacart in addition to its own delivery service. If you choose to use Instacart for your grocery deliveries, you need to shop through the Instacart app or the website. An Instacart shopper will shop for and deliver all your groceries, which may be faster than Stop and Shop.

Instacart is also a great option if you want to order a delivery from Stop and Shop but still communicate with your shopper.

Using Instacart, you can message your shopper to specify substitutions and even request additional items you forgot to order.

How to Use Stop and Shop Digital Coupons

You must have a Stop and Shop card and an account to use digital coupons. Then, you can browse for discounts by clicking “Coupons” from the main screen on the app. Coupons will also show up when you search for specific items. Clip the coupons and apply them to your order to receive the discounts.

You must load the digital coupons onto your Stop and Shop card for them to be applied to your order.

To do this, simply click ‘Clip Coupon.’ You should then wait for a few minutes to let the coupons completely load onto your card. Otherwise, some discounts may not be applied.

Stop and Shop Card & GO Points

To enroll in the GO Rewards program, you must have a Stop and Shop card. Each time you shop, you earn 1 GO Reward point per dollar you spend. You also have chances to earn extra points, and these offers are based on previous shopping trips. You can redeem these points for rewards, including discounts on groceries and gas.

If you don’t have a Stop and Shop card, you can apply for this card online or at a Customer Service Desk in a local store. Signing up online will give you access to all the best offers.

You will want to know when you shop and earn points because your points will expire 30 days after earning them. This is why having the app is handy – you can easily redeem points wherever you are, right from your phone.

If you haven’t already, sign up for Stop and Shop GO Rewards here. After just one purchase, you may have enough points to get a discount on a Stop and Shop delivery order!

Does Stop and Shop Take EBT Online?

Stop and Shop accepts SNAP EBT payments for online orders. Stop and Shop is approved by USDA as part of the Online Purchasing Pilot Program. Each SNAP EBT-eligible item is labeled on the app and website when browsing. You can even filter your search results to show only items that are SNAP-eligible.

SNAP EBT benefits can be used online for Stop and Shop pickup or delivery orders, as long as you have an account set up.

First, add your SNAP EBT information to your Stop and Shop account under “Payment Information.” You will be able to select ‘Apply SNAP benefits’ during checkout.

Then, you will enter the amount you want to be charged to your EBT account and enter your PIN to use the funds. These funds will be applied to the SNAP-eligible items, and any remaining funds will be returned to the EBT card.

Here are a few things you should know when shopping with SNAP EBT at Stop and Shop online:

  • There is no minimum order size if you are paying for the order with your SNAP EBT card.
  • You can use coupons and promo codes with your SNAP benefits, but you should add all coupons and promo codes BEFORE using the benefits.
  • You will need to have an additional payment method on file to pay for any items or service that is not SNAP-eligible.

Stop and Shop does not accept WIC benefits online for delivery or pickup. Therefore, you will need to shop in the store to use your WIC benefits at Stop and Shop.

To see the full list of grocery stores accepting EBT payments online in your state, visit the USDA website.

Do You Tip Stop and Shop Delivery?

Stop and Shop has indicated that tipping delivery drivers is accepted but not expected. However, delivery drivers greatly appreciate any tips. We recommend that you give your Stop and Shop delivery driver a 15-20% tip. You can add the tip when you place the order online or tip at the delivery location.

It is the easiest to add the tip to your delivery order right when you place it online. However, if you wish to wait until you receive your groceries, you can tip your driver in person when they deliver your order.

Even if you choose an Unattended Delivery, you can still leave a tip by placing it at the drop-off location where the driver will see it.

Conclusion

Stop and Shop delivery makes grocery shopping an easy task. Not only will you save time by having groceries delivered, but you can also save money with digital coupons and GO points. Sign up with Stop and Shop today and have your next batch of groceries delivered right to your door!
