Fred Meyer delivery can be ordered through their website or mobile app with a $10 minimum. The fee ranges from $9.95 to $11.95, and only digital coupons can be used. EBT or WIC are not accepted, and tips are discouraged unless a third-party partner like Instacart delivers your order.

A third-party partner will handpick your items at the store, and they’ll be delivered right to your doorstep.

To place your Fred Meyer delivery order, you first need to sign in to your account or create a new one if you don’t have an account already.

Once you sign in, choose delivery as your shopping method and enter your zip code so the site can locate the closest store.

Fred Meyer Delivery allows you to pick which day and time you prefer for your order to be delivered during checkout.

When you are ready to create your order, search for your items on their website or the app and add them to your cart with “Start My Cart.”

You can even add multiple of the same item or leave special instructions for the employee choosing your items at the store.

Your order needs to be at least $10 to get delivery from Fred Meyer.

After placing your order, a third-party partner like Instacart will go to the store and handpick the items in your cart.

If an item is not in stock, the delivery associate will substitute it with a different item that is as close as possible to your original request.

Some items, like alcohol, may not be available for your Fred Meyer delivery order. However, if it is available, you must have your ID ready when your order is delivered.

Once the order is ready to go, you will get an alert that it’s on its way. Your order will be delivered to your doorstep on the day and time you selected during checkout.

Also, if you requested no-contact delivery for your order, you won’t need to meet the delivery driver in person to receive your order.

Keep in mind that Fred Meyer’s delivery is different from their ship option, as some items are not available for shipping.

When you order Fred Meyer groceries online, the delivery fee is $9.95. However, it may go up to $11.95 in some locations.

How to Order Fred Meyer Online

Then, you can search for your items, build your cart, and select the day and time of your delivery or pickup. When you’re ready to check out, you’ll make the payment and complete your order.

Below are the instructions for ordering Fred Meyer Delivery through their app.

1. Before you begin your order, you must sign in or create your own account on the Fred Meyer app. After you sign in, you can search for your items on the app to start your order.

2. To add items to your cart, simply click “Shop” next to the cart and search through the categories to find your groceries.

3. After you choose your category, select the delivery option at the bottom of the app. Once selected, you will be prompted to add your address.

4. To find your items, you can use the search bar at the top of the category or scroll through what is in stock at the store.

5. After you find your item, click on it to get its detail and go to the bottom of your app to add it to the cart. Then, repeat the same steps to complete your order.

6. Under item details, you can also save certain items to your list for later if you would instead get them at the store and not in your delivery order.

7. Once you are ready for checkout, go to your cart at the bottom of the app with the cart icon. Here’s where you can review your order and also see your Estimated Subtotal. After you review your order, click on “Check Out Delivery.”

8. Then, choose a day and time for your order to be delivered. If you opt for same-day delivery, you can choose the next available time or even that evening.

9. After your delivery is scheduled, you will be prompted to add your contact information and enable text notifications for your order. When ready, click “Continue” at the bottom of the app.

10. When your order is created, you will need to add your payment information under “Paying With”. Once finished, click on “Place Delivery Order” at the bottom of the app.

You can also create your Fred Meyer Delivery order using their website. The website ordering experience is like placing an order on the app.

However, you would be searching for your items using the site’s menu on the left-hand side or the search bar at the top. Your cart is also located at a different location, appearing on the right-hand side of the site.

Can You Use Coupons for Fred Meyer Delivery?

Fred Meyer only accepts digital coupons for delivery orders and does not accept paper coupons. You can clip digital coupons and apply them to your order directly on their website or the app. You can also see discounts at the time of your delivery or as an online payment adjustment within 48 hours of delivery.

There are plenty of ways to save on your order with Fred Meyer Delivery. One of these ways is with coupons.

Currently, Fred Meyer only accepts digital coupons for delivery orders and does not accept paper coupons.

Adding digital coupons can be done through the app or website. These coupons can be clipped onto your order during checkout.

To choose which coupons to add to your order, simply go to “Savings” on your app, and scroll through the available coupons that you can use to apply to your order.

Any coupons added to your order will be applied once the final order total is determined. You may also see these discounts come in the form of an online payment adjustment within 48 hours of your delivery.

In addition, orders placed through Fred Meyer Delivery will earn points toward fuel rewards. If you have a Fred Meyer Rewards Card, you can receive personalized digital coupons and deals for the items you often buy.

Can You Use EBT for Fred Meyer Delivery?

Unfortunately, Fred Meyer does not accept SNAP EBT or WIC for delivery orders. The only payment options Fred Meyer takes for delivery are credit and debit cards.

For delivery orders, Fred Meyer only takes credit or debit cards for payment. They cannot accept cash, checks, gift cards, or government benefits, including WIC and EBT.

Also, your bank or financial institution will use your estimated order total as a hold on your account when using a debit or credit card. It may be on your account for 3-7 business days.

Do You Tip Fred Meyer Delivery?

Tips are not accepted if you are using Fred Meyer (Kroger) Delivery for your order. However, if a third-party partner like Instacart fulfills your delivery order, you can tip the driver. You also have the option to tip your third-party driver after your order has been completed.

While Kroger Delivery does not accept tips, third-party partners, like Instacart, who take care of your delivery order, can get tips.

Fred Meyer pays Instacart drivers a flat rate per delivery, but 100% of tips given to the delivery driver go directly to them.

If you request a no-contact order or can’t tip the driver directly at the time, you also have the option to tip after the order has been completed.

If you would like to tip your driver, we recommend tipping them at least 15-20%.

How to Cancel a Fred Meyer Delivery Order

You can cancel or modify an existing delivery order at any point until the Fred Meyer associate begins to prepare your items. However, once they have started your order, you cannot cancel it. Also, you cannot change your delivery time and location once your order has been placed.

Fred Meyer will allow you to cancel an existing delivery order at any time after you place it until the associate has started to prepare the items.

If you would like to cancel your delivery order, all you have to do is go to “My Purchases” on the Fred Meyer app or website to do so.

You can modify your order before the delivery associate begins choosing your items, but you cannot change the time and location of your delivery once your order has been placed.

If your order is being fulfilled by Instacart, the process for modifying your order is a little different.

To change or cancel your order, you would need to chat with Instacart directly after they begin choosing your items.

To chat with your Instacart shopper, make sure you modify your account settings to enable your order notifications.

Can You Order Fred Meyer Delivery on Instacart?

If you prefer to place a Fred Meyer delivery order directly on Instacart, you can do so using the Instacart app or the website. For same-day delivery, Instacart has a $3.99 delivery fee for orders over $35, and orders must be at least $10 to be eligible for delivery.

Those who prefer to use Instacart over Fred Meyer’s app can easily create a delivery order through the Instacart app or the website.  

To start an order with Fred Meyer through Instacart, choose Fred Meyer as your retailer and search through the available items by department.

Instacart can also make recommendations based on items you have ordered previously or what is popular for your location.

As you see items that you like, simply add them to your cart. You must have an account through Instacart to place an order.

Instacart has same-day delivery for orders that are $35 or more with a delivery fee of $3.99

In addition, orders must be at least $10 to qualify for delivery. Instacart may charge a “heavy fee” if your order contains heavy items, like pet food or water cases.

However, this fee is only applied if the combined weight of these items is over 50 lbs.

Instacart will apply credits to your account if there are any issues with your delivery, if you refer friends to Instacart, or if you have any remaining promotions left from your previous order.

You will see available coupons on Instacart and can add them to your order as well. Promotions can also be added through Instacart’s “Credits, Promos, and Gift Cards” section.

However, promotions cannot be added for any fees, taxes, tips, or items that contain alcohol due to state and federal laws and regulations.

While you do not need a paid membership to use Instacart, you can get one by joining Instacart Express.

With Instacart Express, you will get reduced service fees and free delivery for orders over $35. You can get an Instacart Express membership for $9.99 a month or $99 annually and cancel anytime.
