19 Best Items to Order on the Burger King Menu

By Lana Kisner | November 1, 2023

With so many delicious items on the menu, it’s not an easy task to come up with the best things to eat at Burger King, but I decided I’m up for a challenge.

The Burger King menu features a variety of items, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, sides, desserts, and more. Here are my top picks for the best Burger King menu items. Read on to see if your favorites made the list!

19. Chicken Nuggets

Chicken Nuggets are an easy-to-go menu item, and Burger King’s version doesn’t disappoint. They’re made with white meat chicken covered in seasoned breading and come with your favorite dipping sauce.

18. Mozzarella Sticks

Who doesn’t love breaded and fried cheese dipped into a tangy marinara sauce? This is a good side item to complement your Whopper or chicken sandwich.

17. Oreo Cookie Shake

If you need a delicious and textured dessert on the go, you’ll probably love Burger King’s Oreo Cookie Shake. It combines vanilla soft serve with Oreo cookie pieces and a sweet vanilla sauce to bring out the flavor. It’s then finished with a whipped topping, ready to hit the road.

16. Classic Fries

Although McDonald’s comes to mind first when you think of fast-food fries, Burger King took a different and arguably just as tasty approach to this classic burger side. Burger King’s classic fries are wider than McDonald’s for a more substantial flavor and are always hot with the perfect amount of salt.

15. Impossible King

The Impossible King turns the vegetarian patty into a classic cheeseburger. It adds melted American cheese, white onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard and serves it all on a sesame seed bun. The flavor is delicious, and with all the fixings, you can barely tell the difference between this burger and one with a beef patty.

14. Bacon Cheeseburger

Bacon goes great on burgers, so it’s no surprise that the Bacon Cheeseburger is on my list of the best Burger King items. It’s made with a flame-grilled beef patty and smoked bacon on a sesame seed bun, topped with cheese, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.

13. Onion Rings

Burger King’s onion rings are a unique take on a popular appetizer. They’re made with powdered onion paste rather than cut onion rings, giving them a soft texture with a bold flavor. They pair excellently with the Zesty sauce, though you can choose any of Burger King’s dipping sauces to switch it up.

12. Big King

The Big King truly lives up to its name. It’s loaded with two burger patties for a hearty amount of protein and a special sauce that makes it pop. This burger starts with two flame-grilled beef patties topped with lettuce, white onion, pickles, and American cheese.

Everything is served on a toasted sesame seed bun and finished with the special Burger King stacker sauce that adds distinct tomato and onion flavors.

11. Rodeo Burger

The Rodeo Burger is one of the smaller burgers at Burger King, but also one of the more unique options. Despite its size, the ingredients are filling, making it a great choice for a light lunch or late-night snack.

It includes a flame-grilled beef patty topped with a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce. Then, tasty onion rings are added, and everything is served on a sesame seed bun.

10. Cheeseburger

Burger King’s Cheeseburger is one of the original menu items, and as a value item, it’s still very popular today. Although it’s not as unique or hearty as some other burgers on the menu, it’s a good option for a light meal or a quick snack.

It includes a signature flame-grilled beef patty topped with American cheese, pickles, mustard, and ketchup. It’s served on a sesame seed bun and can be ordered a la carte or as a meal.

9. French Toast Sticks with Maple Syrup

When you need something sweet in the morning, BK’s French Toast Sticks have you covered. They’re golden brown on the outside with a cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg coating and have a deliciously soft and warm center. They’re served with a side of maple syrup for your dipping pleasure.

8. Italian Original Chicken Sandwich

You may not always find the Italian Original Chicken Sandwich on the Burger King menu, but it’s worth trying when you do. This elongated sandwich uses a white meat chicken patty and a sesame seed bun. It’s then topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, and mayonnaise.

7. Big Fish

The Big Fish sandwich is made with 100% White Alaskan Pollock covered with a crispy panko breading. It’s then topped with sweet tartar sauce and crunchy pickle and served on a toasted brioche-style bun.

6. Chicken Fries

Chicken Fries are a fun Burger King menu item that combines two favorite sides. It takes breaded, crispy white meat chicken and serves it in an elongated shape, which is great for dipping. They are served with your favorite sauce, with choices including BBQ, Buffalo, Honey Mustard, Sweet & Sour, and Zesty.

5. Fully Loaded Croissan’wich

The Fully Loaded Croissan’wich is my favorite Burger King breakfast sandwich because it’s filling, delicious, and will start your day off right. It includes all three breakfast meats available at BK and turns them into a warm and savory breakfast.

It starts with a soft, flaky croissant topped with a breakfast sausage patty, crispy bacon, and Black Forest Ham. A fluffy egg patty is added to the mix, and melty American cheese rounds it off for a protein-packed breakfast that will surely please.

4. Impossible Whopper

The Impossible Whopper is BK’s vegetarian version of the fan-favorite burger. It uses the Impossible-brand patty instead of regular beef and is prepared with all the fixings that make it a close comparison to the original Whopper.

The Impossible patty is flame-grilled like the original, giving it that deliciously charred flavor. The patty is then topped with tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup, and everything is served on a sesame seed bun.

3. Hershey’s Sundae Pie

There’s no better cure for a sweet tooth than the Hershey’s Sundae Pie. This Burger King dessert combines a crunchy chocolate crust with a layer of vanilla cream. It’s then topped with a second layer of a mousse-like chocolate crème and finished off with Hershey’s chocolate chips.

2. Southwest Bacon Whopper

The Southwest Bacon Whopper is a limited-time menu item that has everything you want in a burger and more. It’s hearty, a bit messy, and has a delicious flavor.

This burger is made with a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty topped with avocado spread, bacon, seasoned tortilla strips, melted American cheese, lettuce, white onions, and tomatoes. It comes with a creamy, spicy sauce and is served on a toasted sesame seed bun.

The Southwest Bacon Whopper has 838 calories and everything you need to be a complete meal, although it can also be ordered with a side and a drink.

1. Whopper

The Whopper is Burger King’s most popular menu item for good reason. It’s stacked high with meat and veggies to create a tasty burger that made the fast-food chain so popular.

Each Whopper comes with a quarter-pound flame-grilled patty. This is topped with tomato, lettuce, white onions, pickles, mayo, and ketchup, and everything is served on a sesame seed bun.
