Every Salad From Panera Bread, Ranked
By Lana Kisner | December 9, 2023
Panera Bread offers a variety of delicious salads to be enjoyed as a meal or paired with one of their soups or sandwiches. I love pretty much all of them for their bold flavors and hearty, fresh ingredients. From the Asian Sesame to Southwest Caesar to Green Goddess Cobb, here are all the options on the Panera salad menu ranked from good to best.
8. Caesar Salad
Panera’s Caesar Salad is simple and classic. It combines crisp romaine lettuce with grated parmesan cheese, creamy Caesar dressing, and homemade black pepper focaccia croutons. It’s a delicious meal on its own, especially when paired with a French baguette, but it also goes great with one of their soups or sandwiches.
7. Asian Sesame Salad With Chicken
This salad is light yet hearty and has a combination of sweet and savory flavors. I love this salad because it feels like I’m indulging every time I have one, but it’s actually one of the lighter options on the Panera salad menu.
It starts with a base of fresh romaine lettuce and savory chicken. Cilantro gives it a fresh herbal flavor, while toasted almonds, sesame seeds, and wonton strips give the salad its crunch. Everything is then tossed in an Asian sesame vinaigrette to combine all flavors into one satisfying dish.
6. Caesar Salad With Chicken
A classic Caesar salad with chicken always hits the spot for me, and Panera’s version does not disappoint. It starts with a base of romaine lettuce and classic Caesar dressing. Chicken pieces add some protein, while grated parmesan cheese and homemade black pepper focaccia croutons round off all the flavors.
5. Greek Salad
Panera’s Greek Salad doesn’t automatically come with chicken, but you can request it for an additional charge. This salad tops a romaine lettuce base with juicy grape tomatoes, red onions, kalamata olives, and zesty pepperoncini peppers. Feta cheese crumbles are added for a savory touch, and the Greek salad dressing ties all the flavors together nicely. It’s part of the Value Duet deal, so I recommend pairing a half-portion salad with a cup of their delicious creamy tomato soup.
4. Fuji Apple Salad With Chicken
This salad is a Panera Bread original that’s sweet, savory, and tangy all at the same time. It starts with a blend of mixed greens topped with chicken, red onions, grape tomatoes, and gorgonzola cheese. Toasted pecan pieces and dried Fuji apple chips are added for a sweet touch, and everything is tossed in a white balsamic apple vinaigrette. Sign me up!
3. Citrus Asian Crunch Salad With Chicken
If you’re looking for a salad to stimulate your tastebuds, there’s the Citrus Asian Crunch Salad with Chicken. It combines hearty vegetables and chicken with tangy toppings to create a meal that will keep you full for the rest of the day.
It starts with a blend of chopped broccoli, green cabbage, carrots, and kale. This mix is tossed in a tangerine soy ginger dressing with soft edamame, tangy pickled red onions, and fresh chopped cilantro. Everything is then topped with seared chicken pieces, crispy carrots, and a drizzle of teriyaki sauce.
2. Southwest Caesar Salad With Chicken
This Panera salad turns southern flavors into a delicious meal. It’s made with a romaine lettuce base and chicken breast pieces. Fresh avocado and cilantro are added to the mix, and grated parmesan and Caesar dressing tie all the flavors beautifully. But there’s more! The chipotle aioli and blue corn tortilla chips on top give you an additional burst of flavor and definitely take this salad to new heights!
1. Green Goddess Cobb Salad With Chicken
The Green Goddess Cobb Salad has everything you could want in a salad. From mixed greens to hearty toppings to creamy dressing, this salad is fresh and delicious. It’s my favorite salad at Panera Bread, hands down.
It starts with a base of fresh greens topped with grape tomatoes and pickled red onions. These are tossed in the Green Goddess dressing and loaded with fresh avocado, chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, and hard-boiled eggs. This is a must-try salad at Panera, folks!
