Costco Must-Haves This Month: Food Deals to Stock Up On

Costco Warehouse Savings – Credit: Samantha Jenkins/Shopfood.com

Each month, Costco comes out with a coupon book full of exciting deals, and this month’s Costco ad is no different. You really save more when you shop their sales ad, which is basically their monthly coupon book.

If you’re wondering about the best grocery deals at Costco in October, I went to my local warehouse and compiled a list for you. These savings are only valid through October 20th, so make sure to shop before then if any of these finds caught your eye.

1. Ferrero Rocher Fine Hazelnut Chocolates ($11.99)

I’m not a huge fan of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, but I know plenty of people who love them, especially around the holidays. If you have a hazelnut lover in your life, pick up a beautiful display of chocolates for just $11.99. That’s $4 less than usual, and each package comes in a plastic case with 48 chocolates.

2. Smucker’s Uncrustables Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly Sandwich ($10.99)

Uncrustables were one of my favorite childhood snacks (I liked Peanut Butter Honey best). With this month’s Costco coupon book, you can get a pack of 18 individually wrapped Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly Uncrustables for $3 off. Find these in the freezer section, and be sure to let them thaw for a few hours before eating.

3. Godiva Masterpieces Milk Chocolates ($7.69)

This bag of Godiva milk chocolates features three of their most popular varieties – milk chocolate with hazelnut, milk chocolate with ganache, and milk chocolate with caramel.

Each chocolate is individually wrapped, making these perfect for setting out in a bowl for guests, especially during the holiday season. I love fancy chocolates, and at less than $8 for a 15-ounce bag, I had to pick up a bag.

4. Classico Organic Pasta Sauce ($8.69)

If you frequently make pizza and pasta at home, this next Costco deal will be a game-changer. Get three 32-ounce jars of Classico Organic pasta sauce for $8.69, which is less than $3 per jar. If you’ve never had Classico’s Tomato, Herbs & Spices pasta sauce, it’s similar to a classic marinara but with the flavor amped up just a little bit.

To me, it tastes just as good as the higher-end brands like Rao’s, but you’re getting three of these for essentially the same price as one jar of Rao’s sauce.

5. Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice ($10.99)

Costco’s premade Asian food always makes for an easy, delicious dinner. This month, Costco’s Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice is on sale for $10.99, which is a $3.80 discount. This package contains six nine-ounce bags of chicken fried rice made with grilled white meat chicken, veggies like edamame and pepper, and a savory sauce.

6. Ruprecht Fully Cooked Irish Stew

I don’t pay much attention to Irish food unless it’s almost St. Paddy’s Day, but this stew caught my eye on my latest grocery run. It’s a fully cooked Irish stew made with beef, potatoes, carrots, onion, and a savory brown gravy. It would be the perfect comfort meal for those chilly, lazy nights when you can’t be bothered to do much more meal prep than pressing some buttons on the microwave.

I don’t remember the price for this stew – I forgot to write it down in my Costco-driven excitement – but I do know that it’s currently being sold for $5 less than its typical price.

7. Giovanni Rana Italian Sausage Ravioli ($7.99)

Pasta is a food I love buying in bulk from Costco, especially when I can store it in the freezer for months. It’s a quick, cheap, delicious way to bulk up any meal. This Italian Sausage ravioli comes with two 18-ounce packages of pasta, each of which is individually wrapped. After buying these, I cooked one set that night and put the other set in the freezer to save for a month from now.

The sale price of $7.99 this month means you’re getting two huge portions of ravioli for just $4 each.

8. Reser’s Main St. Bistro Baked Scalloped Potatoes ($4.99)

In over two and a half decades of life, I have yet to meet a single person who doesn’t like potatoes. They’re one of the best side dishes because no matter who’s at your table; there’s a 99.9% chance that everyone will enjoy it. These baked scalloped potatoes combine thinly sliced potatoes with whole milk, parmesan, cheddar, and Romano cheese.

These potatoes are already fully baked, so they just need a few minutes in the microwave to get warm and bubbly, and then they’re ready to serve.

9. Skinny Pop Original ($9.99)

You’ll find a huge wall of Skinny Pop boxes at Costco this month, just waiting to be bought and enjoyed. If you’re a fan of the snack (I am – it’s my favorite “healthy” popcorn on the market), then stock up now and get 28 individual bags for $9.99 rather than the usual price of $13.99.

10. Heavenly Hunks Organic Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cookies ($6.99)

These oatmeal cookies are on sale at Costco every few months, and I always grab two or three bags when they are. These cookies are naturally gluten-free and have a simple ingredient list, including oats, brown rice syrup, brown sugar, cocoa butter, and sea salt.

They’re super soft and moist, making them a great sweet snack to pack in lunches. These also freeze well if you end up buying a pack too many.

11. Chicken of the Sea Chunk Light Tuna ($11.99)

I know canned tuna is divisive, but I have no qualms with it. It’s cheap, protein-packed, and doesn’t taste too fishy if you get a good brand. Chicken of the Sea is one of those good brands, and their Chunk Light Tuna in water is on sale at Costco this month for $12 per package.

There are twelve cans of tuna per package, so each can is about $1 per serving. I use these to make tuna salad and put it on sandwiches.

12. Kellogg’s Original Rice Krispies Treats ($8.99)

Fans of Rice Krispies Treats, get excited because you can get a pack of 60 bars for $9 right now. That’s just $0.50 per bar! These boxes usually cost $12.99 at Costco, so take advantage of the $4 discount until October 20th.

13. Haagen-Dazs Vanilla & Almond Bars ($9.99)

Credit: Samantha Jenkins/Shopfood.com

These Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars come in a pack of fifteen. There’s real vanilla ice cream in the middle, which is covered in a milk chocolate and almond coating. They’re my favorite ice cream bars of all time, so I picked up two boxes while they were on sale for less than $10.

14. Delici Chocolate Mousse ($7.99)

Credit: Samantha Jenkins/Shopfood.com

These Belgian Chocolate Mousse cups are made with authentic Belgian chocolate. The whipped mousse is layered with dark chocolate and crunchy cookie crumbles. A pack comes with six mousse cups.

These are perfect for a classy end to a dinner party. You can top them with a drizzle of salted caramel or crushed peppermint candy for a little something extra. They’re on sale for $7.99 rather than the regular price of $10.99.

15. Bibigo Mini Chicken Wontons ($7.49)

Credit: Samantha Jenkins/Shopfood.com

These miniature Chicken & Cilantro Wontons are fully cooked and ready after just 5 minutes in the microwave. Eat these by themselves or add them to a miso or chicken soup base for a cozy, light meal.

Costco usually sells them for $9.99, but you can get them for $7.49 this month.
