Wendy’s released a never-before-seen Frosty flavor called Orange Dreamsicle on March 19. This treat mixes their classic vanilla Frosty with orange flavoring. The result is a nostalgic, rich, yet refreshing twist on a childhood favorite.

The drink is offered in four sizes: junior, small, medium, and large. I ventured to my local Wendy’s to try their newest Frosty flavor. Let’s see if the Orange Dreamsicle Frosty lives up to expectations or falls flat.

Taste Test

This Frosty might not be bright orange in hue, but the orange flavor makes itself known at first sip. I’d venture to say there’s a 50-50 balance between orange and vanilla flavors, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Each sip is tangy yet sweet, and neither flavor overpowers the other.

Texture-wise, this has the same consistency as your typical Frosty. It’s slightly thicker than a milkshake, making it perfect for scooping up with a spoon, but you can also use a straw if that’s more your style.

Grab or Pass?

Wendy’s new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty gets a resounding “GRAB!” from me. I’m usually not a huge fan of citrus flavor in my desserts, but this Frosty has just enough bright orange flavor balanced with creamy vanilla to keep me coming back for more.

This treat came out just in time for the spring and summer, and I plan on sipping it all season long. Next time, I’m ordering a size up!
