17 Best Starbucks Refresher Drinks

Starbucks Refreshers are an excellent choice for a hot day. They’re fruity and refreshing pick-me-ups that are not as rich or heavy as some of Starbucks’ coffee-based drinks. They’re the perfect chilled summertime drink!

Every Starbucks Refresher is served cold, and they’re all available in tall, grande, venti, and trenta sizes.

Starbucks Refreshers contain caffeine. Each grande refresher includes 45mg of caffeine — about the same as half a cup of coffee.

If you’re looking for a refreshing treat for your child, consider a Crème Frappuccino or lemonade instead.

There are regular refresher drinks on the Starbucks menu, but Starbucks fans love to share their custom concoctions on social media, creating something that has been dubbed the “Starbucks Secret Menu.”

We’ve also included the best Starbucks Refreshers from the Secret Menu on our list.

Just note that Secret Menu drinks aren’t on the official Starbucks menu. Baristas aren’t trained in how to make them, and if you try to order one by name, they may not know what you’re talking about.

Instead, you’ll have to order them by asking for specific drink modifications. We’ll provide instructions on how to order the Secret Menu drinks listed below.

Read on for our list of the best Starbucks Refreshers, including the Secret Menu Refreshers!

17. Pink Matcha Drink (Secret Menu)

The Pink Matcha Drink from the “Starbucks Secret Menu” is last on our list because not only is it annoying for baristas to make, but it’s also kind of gross.

It’s essentially a Pink Drink topped with matcha-tinged vanilla cold foam, and while those flavors aren’t terrible together, they’re also not great.

How to order it: Ask for a Pink Drink topped with the vanilla sweet cream cold foam but ask the barista to blend a scoop of matcha into the foam. Pretend that you don’t know the staff is going to complain about you the second you walk out the door.

Note that this drink has to be ordered in person and can’t be ordered through the Starbucks app or online.

16. Rose Gold Refresher (Secret Menu)

The Rose Gold Refresher is another Secret Menu drink, and this one is just too sweet.

It’s made from the undiluted Mango Dragonfruit Refresher base, which would be sweet enough as it is.

However, that’s not all — raspberry-flavored syrup and peach juice are added to the drink to give it its coveted rose gold hue (and enough sugar to power an entire kindergarten class.)

How to order it: Ask for a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher with no water, add peach juice, and two pumps each of classic syrup and raspberry syrup. If you want it less sweet, leave off the classic syrup.

You can order this one online on the Starbucks website, the app, or in-person (if you dare!)

15. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pink Drink (Secret Menu)

The Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pink Drink is another Secret Menu drink.

This one’s a little easier to make and slightly less gross than the Pink Matcha Drink, but it’s still not great.

Strawberry, chocolate, and coconut are all great together in pairs of two.

However, once you put all three of them together, the flavors get a little murky, especially when you remember that there are passionfruit and acai flavors in this drink as well.

The original TikTok drink was made using vanilla sweet cream foam with mocha sauce mixed in, but Starbucks’ new chocolate cold foam would probably make an even better (and easier) substitute.

How to order it: Ask for a Pink Drink topped with chocolate cold foam.

You can order this one online or on the app unless you insist on having it made with mocha sauce, in which case you’ll have to order it in person.

To get the original Tik Tok drink, order a Pink Drink with vanilla sweet cream foam that has mocha sauce blended into the foam.

14. Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher

The Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade is one of the newest Starbucks Refreshers.

It’s bright, fruity, and tropical. It’s not bad, but the tropical flavors don’t go as well with lemonade as they do with coconut milk. (We’ll talk more about that below!)

The pineapple passionfruit base is made from white grape juice, green coffee extract, and natural flavors.

Starbucks combines this base with lemonade and chunks of freeze-dried pineapple to make the Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher.

A grande Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Starbucks Refresher contains 140 calories. It has 30g of sugar, 0g of fat, and 45mg of caffeine.

13. Gummy Bears Refresher (Secret Menu)

The Gummy Bears Refresher is a Secret Menu item that’s surprisingly not as sweet as it sounds, though it is still on the sweet side.

It’s essentially a Strawberry Acai Refresher with peach juice instead of water, raspberry-flavored syrup, and no freeze-dried strawberries.

How to order it: Order a Strawberry Acai Refresher with no water and inclusions. Add the peach juice and two pumps of raspberry syrup.

This one can be ordered in person, but it’s easy to order online or on the Starbucks app.

12. Strawberry Acai Refresher

The Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refresher is bright and fruity but a little too sweet.

This is the one that’s actually better with a splash of lemonade in it, unlike the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher!

It’s made with Starbucks’ Strawberry Acai base, which is another combination of white grape juice, green coffee extract, and natural flavoring.

It has passionfruit flavoring in addition to the strawberry and acai flavors.

The base is then hand-shaken with ice and freeze-dried strawberry pieces.

A grande Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refresher contains 90 calories. It has 20g of sugar, 0g of fat, and 45mg of caffeine.

11. Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher

The Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher is the same as the previously mentioned Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher but without the lemonade.

The tropical flavors in this Starbucks Refresher drink work better together without the added lemonade, but it’s still a little sweet. The best part of this drink is the pineapple chunks.

The Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher is made with the same white grape juice-based “Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher Base.”

It’s hand-shaken with ice and freeze-dried pineapple pieces.

A grande Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher contains 100 calories. It has 19g of sugar, 0g of fat, and 45mg of caffeine.

10. Firecracker Drink (Secret Menu)

The Firecracker Drink is a Secret Menu drink that’s refreshing, pretty, and easy to make!

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher base is actually clear before it’s shaken with its inclusions.

Ordering it without inclusions is still just as flavorful and makes this gorgeous layered effect possible!

How to order it: Ask for a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher with no inclusions. Add one pump of raspberry syrup. Top with a light splash of Passion Tango Tea.

This drink can be ordered in person, online, or on the app by following these steps.

9. Mango Dragonfruit Refresher

The Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresher tastes like a tropical fruit punch. However, it’s got a fair amount of caffeine, so it’s a tropical fruit punch for adults!

It’s a gorgeous, vibrant pink color due to its dragonfruit inclusions, but this is another one that might be too sweet for some people.

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher Base is also made with white grape juice, green coffee flavor, and natural flavors.

It’s hand-shaken with ice and freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces to form this drink.

A grande Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresher contains 90 calories. It has 19g of sugar, 0g of fat, and 45mg of caffeine.

8. Berry Bright (Secret Menu)

The Berry Bright is a Secret Menu Refresher that was actually reposted on Starbucks’ official social media!

However, that doesn’t mean that it’s an official menu item, so be sure to let your barista know exactly how you want your drink made (see the instructions below) — if you order a Berry Bright, they might not know what you’re talking about!

How to order it: Ask for a Strawberry Acai Refresher shaken with peach juice and a splash of Passion Tango Tea.

You can order it in person, online, or on the Starbucks app.

A grande Dragon Drink contains 130 calories. It has 23g of sugar, 3g of fat, and 45mg of caffeine.

5. Sunset Drink (Secret Menu)

Sunset Drink is another pretty, layered Secret Menu Refresher drink. It’s very similar to the Firecracker Drink but contains peach juice instead of raspberry syrup.

It’s sweet, tart, and very refreshing. Make sure you ask your barista to layer the ingredients to get the gorgeous sunset effect!

How to order it: Ask for a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher with no inclusions. Add a splash of peach juice and top with Passion Tango Tea so that it’s layered.

You can order this online or on the Starbucks app, but if you want to make sure your drink is layered, it’s easier to order in person and talk to the barista directly.

Just remember to say please and consider leaving a tip since they’re making something special and off-menu for you!
